Telephone Aid Line Kingston

Telephone Aid Line Kingston (TALK) is a confidential, anonymous, and non-judgmental volunteer-based support service; open 6pm-2am every night (these new hours starting January 1, 2021) . Their aim is to meet the needs of a diverse population by providing an empowering, empathetic, and safe environment through the provision of a listening phone service, as well as community outreach and education.

Kids Help Phone

Kids Help Phone is a Canada-wide, 24/7 service that is confidential and non-judgemental. Further, they now have a 24/7 texting service that you can reach by texting 686868.

AMHS-KFLA

AMHS-KFLA provides a 24 hour crisis line as well as a range of in-person services. Their community values are advertised as "compassion, innovation, excellence, & accountability".

Good 2 Talk

Good2Talk provides free, confidential support for post-secondary students in Ontario and Nova Scotia 24/7/365. This line is equipped with professional counsellors as well as information and referrals for mental health, addictions, & well-being.

Sexual Assault Centre Kingston

Sexual Assault Centre Kingston is a not-for-profit organization providing free, confidential, non-judgmental support for all survivors of recent and/or historic sexual violence in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (KFL&A) since 1978. SAC Kingston has a 24 hour phone line as well as online chat/text support (link available through their website).

Distress & Crisis Ontario

Distress and Crisis Ontario (DCO) now provides ONTX Ontario Online & Text Crisis Services from your computer, mobile device or telephone from 2pm-2am daily. In addition, DCO has affiliated distress centres that you can contact by phone in a variety of regions throughout Ontario (i.e. GTA, Ottawa, Northern Ontario, etc.).
